Ida Lake, lokaal.

What is the inspiration behind your look?
A cool and raw feeling where the feminine meets the masculine. I wanted to create an overall feeling, from top to toe, that breathes High Fashion. Now the competition is about hair, but I think all parts are equally important. They lift each other.

How will you prepare for the live competition?
I’m going to prepare with my amazing team and make sure to have fun and enjoy the ride!

What is the inspiration behind your look?
I’m a hairdresser who is inspired by the moment and by people, so I don’t really plan in that kind of way, it’s here and now that applies. There is nothing that inspire me more than people. I wanted to do something completely different than what the model had when she came to me and something that stood out since I knew we were going to have a photoshoot. It was really a one shot from the beginning. Everything was right and the model has some incredibly good features so it couldn’t turn out to be anything but right. I wanted to make a protruding colour and a cut with a solid foundation.

How will you prepare for the live competition?
Hopefully my model Maja wants to join me in Copenhagen and in that case, I know everything will go smooth. I will prepare the colour and cut the day before or maybe even the same morning for the colour to be extra crispy. I’ll have a nice breakfast and then I’ll be good to go. From now until June I will prepare with a lot of work, golf and watching football.

What is the inspiration behind your look?
I have collected a lot of inspiration from the 60’s and the Mod movement. To me, inspiration is about impressions. It could be something I’ve seen on the catwalk, on the street or on a singer. In this case I’ve been inspired by Paul Weller, singer, guitarist and founder of the bands The Jam and Style Council.

How will you prepare for the live competition?
To me it’s all about being prepared. All from my tools, the right styling products and the right styling on my model. I dare say that I have a rather big control need and I’m very fond of checklists. But in the end, it is about having fun and enjoying the day in Copenhagen.

What is the inspiration behind your look?
I found a great model and decided I wanted to do something with that. I have looked thorough some different pictures and I’ve been to an afro salon earlier. I wanted to create something with a lot of shapes. As for the colour, I decided to brighten it up and strengthened it with a tone, on the bit of hair that is more square-shaped.

How will you prepare for the live competition?
Now when I know I’m one of the finalists I can start preparing. Before that I’ve only been dreaming and hoping. First, I hope that the same model wants to join so that we can start practicing. Most of it is set and done, it’s mostly the thing that I’m going to stand in front of so many people that makes me a bit nervous, but I have done so before, when I was in TrendVision. You kind of get used to it.

What is the inspiration behind your look?
I have always loved Japanese design in various forms. Everything from architecture, fashion and hair styling. In this look, I have chosen to combine the classic geisha look with moving textures with braids and loose hanging hair. I love contrasts and movement.

How will you prepare for the live competition?
I will practice speed to be able to do as much as possible on stage. I will also make new hair extensions so that everything is in top shape. It is very important that every single detail is perfect. A few days before the final we will color the hair on the model, which means she will graduate with pink hair.

What is the inspiration behind your look?
Personally, I wanted to do something classic. It is a very classic look with a cute model but with a cocky inside. It is a very soft, nice peach tone with a stronger and slightly punkier feel at the bottom, it gives some edge to the entire look. We have tried to strive for a street look but with class.

How are you going to prepare?
I have no idea. This came a little unexpected. We submitted the entry and then I kind of let go of it all. So now it is time to really think and plan everything. Let’s do this!

What is the inspiration behind your look?
I am very inspired by Sassoon’s collections and the latest collection Nontouring (Non-Contouring) which Wella also addressed. In that collection, they play with colors, lights and shadows and we are working a lot with that kind of coloring at the salon. Therefore, much of the inspiration came from the collection and the way we work in the salon.

How will you prepare for the live competition?
I think I’ll try to have fun. I will try to keep calm and not stress myself and instead see it as a fun challenge. I’ll get to meet some fantastic hairdressers and stylists there so the hardest part will be to focus on what I’m doing while there is so much cool stuff happening around you. I will try to prepare myself to keep the calm and focus but at the same time have fun. That’s still what’s most important.

How did you create the look?
My look is created with a twist technique that I use to form shapes and patterns in the hair. I have also coloured the hair to accentuate the shapes.

What is the inspiration behind your look?
One of my greatest sources of inspiration is nature. There are different mathematic patterns there which are very exciting to gather inspiration from.

Nordic Young Talent of the Year – sponsored by Hair and Body Care

Photographer: Örjan Jakobsson

Theresia Axelsson, Salong Tingeling

How did you create the look?
I started out with applying the peachy nuance in the bottom, on a fully bleached hair, and then pulling the colour to the ends to get that special touch. In the bangs I applied to blue nuance in foil while the other colour was still working its magic in the hair.

What is the inspiration behind your look?
I was inspired from a trip me and my partner went on. When we sat down and watched the sunset, we saw all these incredible peach/blue nuances reflecting in the sky.

That was all the Swedish finalists. Now you can et to know the Danish, Norwegian and Finnish finalists as well.
